BIOGRAPHY:

The idea of creating the band appeared in the beginning of January 2001 but the group was finalny forem at the break between July and Auhgust. The group consisted of two members: LUCAS and ZBIGNIEW BIZON and funcioned in Radlin near Rybnik (Silesia, South of Poland).

In July 2001 MARTIN "EVENINGER" WIECZOREK, the vocalist and rhythm guitarist joined the group. Thanks to his ideas and charism, he quickly became the frontman. The band changed their style from rock to heavy and thrash metal and under the new name ARTERY started preparing to the first-ever live show. Just before the gig (in the September of 2001) the band greeted their first drummer, SEBASTIAN POJDA.

First concert of ARTERY took place on 29th of October 2001 at Obszary (a suburb of Radlin). They played some covers and a couple of their own compositions like: "Prog otchlani” ("The Foot of the Abyss"), „Bramy Piekiel”, ("Gates of Hell"), „Za bol” ("For Pain")and „Szloch zranionego serca” ("The Sob of an Injured Heart"). The audience positive opinions encouraged the group to play another two concerts in two weeks time - in Biertultowy and Radlin.

Unfortunately, the following months was filled with arguments within the group members which finally resulted in SEBASTIAN POJDA leaving the line up (after failing to turn to rehearsals). Then the band known as ARTERY stopped existing. However, three former ARTERY players: MARTIN "EVENINGER" WIECZOREK (vocal, rhythm guitar), LUCAS BIZON (lead guitar) and ZBIGNIEW BIZON (bass guitar) continued creating new material. They used a drum machine to replace the drummer, but finding a new, live drum player was their priority.

After about half a year of searching they finally find someone in August 2002. Then OLAF KOCZY joined the band, and meanwhile they adopted a new name – GODDESS OF SIN and started preparing to future concerts.

Following 2003 year brought a new energy and new activities to the band existence. 12th of January GODDESS OF SIN performed in Teshen during XI Final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (Polish biggest charity festival) beginning with this their tour entitled, „DEMO TOUR ‘03”. Despite the fact taht no-one had yet heard the band in Teshen, they were warmly and positively welcomed by the town's public.

1st of March the band recorded a first demo named “Nosferatu” which contained 4 their own compositions. Unfortunately, the demo was not ever presented in public because of its low quality. However, the Demo was presented in RADIO VANESSA in the programme “Alternative Rock’n’Roll”, and the track "Gates of Hell" appeared at the chart of internet radio ANA RADIO and remainded there for over 2 years.

Soon after the recording they played some concerts in Chorzow, Teshen (for the second tiem), Lyski (with CLOSTERKELLER), in Wodzislaw Sl., Radlin and Bielsko–Biala (overall GODDESS OF SIN played 16 concerts in 2003 – check "CONCERTS" for more information). Each time the audience reacted so spontaneously and enthusiastically that the band had troubles with getting out of stage. That time the group of their fans expanded remarkably and gathered people from all the country.

In August of 2003 managed to play three shows as a prelude to its own tour, on the 16th February the band entered the famous KAT RECORDING STUDIO, in Katowice, to record their first-full-length album “Droga do Piekla” (“The Way to Hell”) under the watchful eye of RAFA£ KOSSAKOWSKI (realization) and under guidance of PIOTR LUCZYK of KAT fame. Few months later, in August, GODDESS OF SIN started to cooperate with ANNA CIESLIK – the manager, who has dealt with organising concerts and advertising so far.(click "CONTACT" for further information).

Finding a manager strongly motivated the band to give more concerts (e.g. during the second edition of “The Magic of Rock” in Lyski, with a legendary Polish rock band: TSA).

In June 2005 it showed that not everyone treat the music serious. Eventually OLAF KOCZY, who didn't do his best in playing in spite of reprimands and warnings, was excluded from the line up. He was replaced by PIOTR TKOCZ, who left GODDESS OF SIN after some month wanting to form his own band. That is how a new member TOMASZ KUBIAK became the drummer.

In October 2005 the band had to suspend its activity due to the fact that ZBIGNIEW BIZON had been concsripted, but the rest continued composing and organising rehearsals in spite of his absence.

May 2006 was a time of reorgtanisation and personal changes in band structure. ZBIGNIEW BIZON retourned and MARTIN "EVENINGER" WIECZOREK resigned from the role of guitarist to concentrate more on vocal. The place of new guitar player was given to CHRISTOPHER CALKA, who had been one of first GODDESS OF SIN’s fans.

At the moment the band is working on new material and arranging future concerts around Poland and abroad. Maybe they will play in your town soon...:)...
